Hitchin' a Ride

Greetings Friends,

Synchronicity~ Two Hearts, One Spirit, a Forbidden Love is with me at all times. Not just in spirit, as there is no doubt about that, but I take a hard copy wherever I go. It’s become a companion, and I love sharing our whereabouts with you, mostly on Facebook. Today, we stopped by the quintessential New England, Weekapaug Inn, on the southern Rhode Island shore, just for fun. Synchronicity hitched a ride in the basket of one of their line-up of cruiser bicycles, just for a minute to get the feel of it.  We weren’t technically guests (with rates stretching galaxies beyond my comfort zone…for now) but just stopped by for a quick hello and a few photos, and off we went.

I love writing fiction so much. I get to create a WHOLE world and everybody in it. As I’ve begun working on the sequel to Synchronicity, I realize how much I’ve missed my characters as I’ve been spending a lot of time getting the word out about it. Given a choice, I liked writing the story more than I liked talking about it. I’m better at one than the other. But I’m working on that. I could just write it, tuck it in a drawer, and move on to the next story. But…that sort of defeats the purpose of writing and publishing an amazing story if no one gets to read it. And when you’re passionate about something you want to share it, right?

Maybe you can help with this. Just share this post or a Facebook post, or pass your book on to a friend to enjoy. Or write a review on Amazon. I do more FB posts than I do Blog posts, so you can follow me on FB and see more of what we’re up to. I’m still trying to get the hang of social media, and I honestly don’t know if I ever will, but I’m trying. So bear with me if you would. I can’t get my head around Instagram, so you may not see me there much.

But you know where you can see me? My itty bitty writing group and I will have our books available at the fantastic Paperback Café on Main Street in Old Saybrook on Saturday, June 28th from 11-2. We are super excited about that and hope you can stop by and say hello. If you already have your book and want it signed, just bring it along. Enjoy an amazing meal at the café, and authors Hillary Oat and Joanne Moore will be there with me to sign their incredible work as well. Wait til you see what they’ve been working on. You’ll hear more about it as we get closer. We hope to have other events at different locations soon.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with friends who ordered their books online and wanted them signed, some bought extras to give away as gifts, and I’ve been fulfilling a few mail orders for folks who want signed copies and live further away. I have a whole mini shipping station set up in my studio just for that.

When someone orders directly through me (as opposed to Amazon or Barnes & Noble), they receive a special package in the mail. An experience. What arrives in your mailbox is a hot pink padded envelope addressed just to you. Inside is a copy of the inspired romance Synchronicity~Two Hearts, One Spirit, a Forbidden Love, and it’s lovingly wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a sticker with a special message. Inside your book, is a custom bookmark, and Synchronicity is signed with a personalized inscription if you request that. You can curl up with a cup of tea or coffee, get comfy, and be transported to Cape Cod.

I’m enjoying all of this so much. Thanks for walking with me on this journey, and I’ll keep working on that sequel.

Until next time…May God fill you to overflowing with blessings and peace on your journey, wherever it takes you,

Patty
