I am an author, award-winning writer, published poet, fiber artist, expressive arts educator, retreat facilitator, and lover of the simple life, based on the Connecticut shoreline near Mystic, a quintessential New England seaside village.

Inspiring and empowering writers and spiritual seekers for over a decade
In 2006, after what seemed like a lifetime wanting to be a writer and live near the ocean, I moved to the shoreline and NEVER looked back! I became a freelance writer and journalist for a local newspaper and had a weekly column for four years. My award-winning freelance writing has since been published in local, regional, and national publications. My dream of becoming a writer and living by the ocean had come true.
In January, 2012, I got laid off at the newspaper, and with only a part-time job at a church, my position evolved into a full-time role as Community Minister, where I created programs for nurturing faith and facilitated retreats. That role led me to certificates in Spiritual Direction, Labyrinth, and Expressive Art Facilitation.
I believe in the undeniable connection between spirituality and creativity, and I facilitated programs to invite folks into that exchange. For over a decade, I've been creating and presenting programs uniting spirituality and expressive arts. I produced Creating a Writing Life retreats since 2007 to bring emerging writers together to honor their gifts, empower each other, and celebrate the writing life. Creating A Writing Life programs inspired writers to awaken their creativity and not be afraid to begin that adventure into the unknown.
With significant and fluctuating hearing loss, I'm very pleased to now be enjoying "semi-retirement," whatever that means these days. My introvert self has been blessed with the opportunity to have time to tend to my own writing, including my first novel, Synchronicity- Two Hearts, One Spirit, a Forbidden Love, published in 2025.
One of my poems, Salty Solitude, was selected in early 2023 to appear in the Cape Cod Times, with a second one, I'm A Dune Shack, selected later that year. An exciting honor for someone with a special connection to the Cape. Poetry from a Magic Cottage by the Sea is a collection of my poetry that launched in the summer of 2026. Work continues on Synchronicity’s sequel, and I write poems as I am inspired and create hand-woven tapestries just for the joy of it.
Occasionally, I am invited to facilitate group retreats on themes of writing, poetry, creativity, and of course, spirituality. Sometimes I say, “yes.”
