Wow! What a weekend! Our Grand Opening took place this past weekend and we had a great turnout each day beginning with the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony. They were amazing and brought Board members, Senator Paul Formica, and the biggest pair of scissors I’ve ever seen in my life. Lots of friends and family joined in the fun and I got to meet a few neighbors who also do business in my building, many of them working in complementary helping and healing professions. We had delicious snacks for everyone and sister Camille was in charge of keeping that flowing. She was indispensable this weekend.
On Saturday, Amy J. Barry presented a free mini-workshop on poetry writing and expressive art, to give folks a little glimpse of what her Spring Equinox Poetry Workshop on March 20th might be like. Registration is open.
And at the end of our event on Sunday, an entry from our raffle bowl was selected by the last guest to leave, and the winner was….drum roll please… Karen Peacock from Niantic. Congratulations Karen!
It was so wonderful to see old friends and new ones, and to share my creation, which I tell you … is honestly nothing short of a miracle (actually many miracles). I’m thrilled that everyone has been so supportive in different ways. Now it’s time to get down to some soul work, some expressive art, some writing, some simplifying life.
We’re open, and new programs are being added regularly. Our space is available to rent for small groups and wellness practitioners. There are opportunities for facilitators to present programs that are aligned with our mission. And I hope that Seastar Wellness Studio becomes THE place in Old Saybrook, to experience soul nurturing, creativity-inspiring, all welcoming programs and events to nurture our bodies, minds, and spirits. Thanks everyone!
